Our aim at all times is to recover proper compensation for those injured or bereaved through the fault of others. The principal of the firm is Peter Crooks. Peter was educated at Glasgow and Edinburgh universities. He qualified as a solicitor in 1996.

For 17 years he specialised in personal injury litigation with Bonnar Accident Law, Airdrie. He has represented well over a thousand clients in obtaining compensation for personal injury or the death of a loved one. He has also represented clients who have obtained compensation for dampness and defects in their home caused by the neglect of their landlord.

Peter has acted for clients in all types of personal injury claims, from straightforward road traffic cases right up to complex cases involving injuries of the utmost severity or death of a loved one. He has litigated cases in sheriff courts throughout Scotland and in the Court of Session, Edinburgh.
Services
We offer a *free* initial consultation.
We will take a detailed statement from you.
We will assess the merits of your claim.
We will advise you whether we think your claim can proceed, or whether further investigations may be required before we can fully advise you on prospects.
You may be entitled to legal aid to fund your claim.
Alternatively, we can act on a *No Win, No Fee* basis where we have assessed your claim and think it has a greater than 50% chance of success.
We will not ask you to pay any upfront legal costs.
If you have been injured as a *driver* or *passenger* in a vehicle, you may well be entitled to compensation.
As an injured passenger, you will almost always have a right to claim for compensation against the driver of the vehicle you were travelling in and/or the driver of any other vehicle involved in your accident.
In *straightforward road traffic cases* - such as a 'rear end shunt' or where you have been injured as a passenger - we will act for you on a No Win, No Fee basis where appropriate, with *no* success fee deducted.
Personal injury law is increasingly a specialised area.
In 2015, the All-Scotland Sheriff Court was established in Edinburgh specifically to hear personal injury cases.
Unless a party elects to litigate in a 'local' court, the All-Scotland Sheriff Court has exclusive jurisdiction for all ordinary PI cases with a value of between 5000-100,000.
One of the benefits of the new court is that there are 6 sheriffs specifically assigned to deal with personal injury actions.
Our Principal, Peter Crooks, has been a member of Edinburgh Sheriff Court's Personal Injuries Users Group.
