Services
Meet our team here at Barringtons Solicitors - always going the extra mile for our clients, whatever the legal matter with which they need our support.
Deborah Barrington started her legal career in London, qualifying in 1985 with city firm Theodore Goddard (now Addleshaw Goddard).
She then moved to Canada for a period of some 10 years, where she re-qualified and practised in Ottawa, firstly with Lang Michener and then with Toronto-based firm, Fraser & Beatty.
Today she specialises in mergers and acquisitions, sales of businesses, partnerships and shareholder agreements - together with all types of ongoing commercial and business contracts.
At Barringtons Solicitors in Farnham, we provide expert and personal advice on Wills, Trusts and Inheritance Tax to help ensure that your estate passes in accordance with your wishes.
Making a Will is simple with Barringtons Solicitors.
We provide expert legal advice in a straightforward manner, to ensure that your Will reflects your wishes and is appropriate for your circumstances.
If you die without a Will, you die intestate, which means that you have no control over who receives your estate.
A Lasting Power of Attorney can ensure that you have arrangements in place which suit you and do not leave your loved ones with legal or financial headaches.
A Lasting Power of Attorney puts you in control of your affairs.
You appoint someone you trust (an attorney) to make decisions on your behalf in respect of your property and financial affairs and/or in respect of your health and welfare.
Barringtons Solicitors wish to support people being able to maintain an element of control, even when they can no longer make their own decisions.
Our probate and estate administration services can assist you in a professional and sensitive manner at a difficult time.
When a person dies, their personal representative must deal with their estate, identify their assets, pay any debts and Inheritance Tax and then distribute the estate in accordance with their Will (or the intestacy provisions, if there is no Will).
Dealing with an estate can be a daunting and onerous process, particularly if you were close to the deceased and are grieving.
We can help you at this difficult time by obtaining the Grant of Representation on your behalf.
Our solicitor Joanne is committed to providing clear, legal advice in a straightforward and sensitive manner.
Joanne specialises in advising older and vulnerable people and their families and carers and, as a solicitor accredited with Solicitors for the Elderly, is committed to providing clear legal advice in a sensitive manner.
Joanne can provide you with practical solutions and peace of mind, in a professional and sensitive way.
Advising on the making or amendment of Wills for those who have lost capacity ('statutory Wills').
