Forsters
Our industry experts provide their brief and digestible commentary and insight on the subjects that matter. From growing a business to starting a family or handing over control of that business to the next generation, every individual has their own goals to aspire to. These goals will be shaped around key life milestones and will change depending on what stage in life a person has reached.

As these milestones approach, this will often be a time to reflect, resulting in a change in priorities and a different focus for both their wealth and family. Family wealth planning is frequently undertaken against a background of positive planning, often when the second generation is younger, and the family small and without complications. Over time this can change and lead to unintended adverse consequences for Trust structures if the family enters into a major dispute.

Families and practitioners can learn from some of these issues, as Highvern's Richard Joynt and Forsters' Alex Tamosius outline. Triple listing for Forsters Next Gen lawyers in ePrivateClient's Top 35 under 35 2021.
Services
Forsters was formed in 1998 by ten partners from Frere Cholmeley Bischoff, who decided to create a new firm rather than take part in a merger with a large firm based in the City.
Their vision was to create a new firm with a distinctive culture which could provide a genuine alternative to City firms.
Despite being formed at the end of the 20th century Forsters traces its roots back over 265 years and takes its name from John Forster who in 1770 went into partnership with Isaac Bargrave in Lincoln's Inn Fields.
Our values are important to us and are at the heart of the way we interact with each other and with our clients.
These values explain who we are and what we are about.
They reflect our ambition to make a difference to the people we work with and the clients we represent.
Pulling on our diverse strengths enables us to be open to new ideas and future possibilities.
We take pride in our commerciality; knowing our client's business well enables us to consistently deliver quality outcomes.
We set high standards for ourselves, taking pride in consistently acting with respect, empathy and professionalism.
Forsters is a leading London law firm based in Mayfair which delivers exceptional legal advice to clients principally drawn from the real estate and private wealth sectors.
Taking a joined-up approach we seek out solutions that embrace the unique needs of each individual or company.
The lawyers' engaged, approachable manner combined with the delivery of concise, clear and commercially-led advice is what helps the firm to develop long-term client relationships.
We trace our roots back 265 years to a firm of solicitors founded in 1750 which John Forster joined as a partner in 1770.
Forsters is widely recognised by commentators, clients and the wider market as one of the leading real estate and private client law firms in London.
Our service is crafted to meet the needs of each client whatever their matter or transaction.
We frequently advise real estate funds, property companies, high net worth individuals, investors, property companies, developers, family offices and entrepreneurs.
We explain complex legal issues clearly and look for the best solution for each client by providing advice which is practical, commercial, and always discrete.
We work in close collaboration with our clients and their other advisors to drive forward real estate transactions to successful completion.
Our lawyers are focused on providing clear and succinct advice, not just giving a legal opinion.
It is our energy, tenacity and genuine interest in our clients' businesses that give Forsters a unique edge.
Real estate, in all of its various forms, sits at the heart of the Forsters business - it is the sector on which the firm was founded and is our largest practice area.
