Services
Martin Cray & Co. is an experienced bespoke litigation firm that handles a wide variety of disputes or problems that need problem solving.
We are based in Brighton and handle cases locally, in the South East, London and internationally.
As a boutique litigation firm we have the time and availability to deal directly without our clients at any time.
We choose to have a smaller client base so that we can give a more personal service to our clients.
We regularly receive instructions regarding private criminal defence; civil litigation; family law; regulatory matters and probate - contested or not.
You never know what life will throw your way.
When issues arise that require a family law solicitor you don't want to add the stress of finding someone you can trust on top of everything else.
Our Brighton family law lawyers are experienced in handling a range of cases and we often find that once our clients work with us on one occasion, we become their solicitor of choice.
Don't leave it to the last minute to get in touch with us.
We always have time to get to know new clients and build a picture of you and your situation.
If parents cannot agree on who should take custody of children then both parties can seek a Child Arrangement Order.
This Court Order is usually necessary when there are children present during a separation or divorce where no amicable agreement can be decided.
Our child arrangement solicitors can assist with disputes as to who will look after the children when, and also help to agree on a schedule with your former partner if needs be.
In some instances you may have heard this being referred to child custody, particularly in the case of a divorce, however within law, this is referred to as child arrangement, and these orders replace residence or contact orders.
A cohabitation agreement (also known as a cohabitation contract, cohabitation deed or living together agreement) is an agreement entered into by two or more people who live together.
In the UK there is no such thing as a common-law husband, wife or civil partner.
This means that the law makes assumptions about your circumstances and particularly your financial circumstances that mean that sometimes they are not representative of the true situation.
A Cohabitation Agreement sets out the Parties' respective interests in the Home, how household expenses are to be paid during cohabitation and outlines what should happen if the Parties no longer want to live together.
Going through divorce, separation or dissolution of same sex civil partnerships and marriages can be extremely tough so we are here to take some of the weight off of your shoulders.
We can even offer you a fixed fee in respect of the divorce proceedings, dependent upon the circumstances of your case.
We would be more than happy to discuss this in more detail with you.
Martin Cray & Co are accredited divorce solicitors based in Brighton as well as parts of the UK.
We provide personable and compassionate legal services and are ready to speak with you to hear about your situation.
