It is with great sadness that Morrish Solicitors announces the loss of our dear friend and Partner, Duncan Gardiner. The Morrish team are devastated by this terrible loss, which is deeply felt across the entire firm. Duncan was a kind, unassuming and selfless man who contributed enormously to his firm, his colleagues and his clients. Quick to laugh, and generous with his time, he was for 30 years part of the bedrock of the firm.
After being admitted in 1994, Duncan worked hard to build a locally and nationally recognised team of Medical Negligence Solicitors here at Morrish - he rightly felt this was his greatest professional achievement. Duncan was extremely passionate about helping people, and committed to each and every client he represented, which is what made him such a successful and well-regarded solicitor and Partner.
He was unanimously and deeply admired by all of us, and his death leaves a huge void in our hearts. Our Employment Rights Team consists of lawyers dedicated to advising on and pursuing employment and industrial relations issues in the tribunals and courts for employees, Unions, Associations, professional bodies and their members.

Records show the firm representing its first Union client, the Farriers and Blacksmiths, in 1906 and relations with the Trade Union movement have grown from strength to strength thereafter.
Harold's daughter, Kathleen, married David Morrish, who had a brother, Eric Morrish, both Great War veterans.
Eric trained with Harold James and qualified circa 1920, at which time the firm became HB James & Morrish.
