Our aim is to provide comprehensive innovative and pragmatic solutions to your business and private matters. We are supported by enthusiastic staff and information technology to be as efficient and effective as possible without compromising our personal service. We encourage personal contact by welcoming visits to our attractive Georgian offices of one of Winchester's main thoroughfares.

Before joining Warner & Richardson, all of our partners practised with other firms (in Devon, Sussex, Hampshire and London) so they each bring to the firm a wide variety of experience and expertise in business and legal matters.

Excellent customer service, communication skills, able to handle difficult or stressful situations as they arise.

Our two consultants have close connections to the department and all our practitioners dealing with wills, probate, trusts and estate advice are members of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners ensuring the quality of their work.
Much of the work we do links in some way with the Property department's work so we are involved in with the innovative Specialist Reviews and Services.
We also offer appropriate advice to the Property department's clients and support to the Property team when required.
A "Living Will" is more formally called an "Advance Decision" and is a statement which expresses and records your wishes concerning certain medical procedures, which are/are not to be followed in the event of your loss of mental capacity.
A valid Advance Decision is legally binding on Health Care professionals.
Alternatively, a Living Will may record your beliefs on such procedures for the family to consider should a difficult decision with regard to your health have to be made (this is known as an "Advance Statement").
A Trust is a fund which contains assets (financial or real estate) which are controlled by you and/or a nominated third party, known as the Trustees, for the benefit of specific individuals, known as the Beneficiaries.
Trusts are governed by complex legal regulations, common law obligations and Tax rules.
A Trust may be set up any time during the lifetime of an individual or by way of a Will upon death and the funds may be held for many years for the Beneficiaries, depending on the wishes of the person who establishes the Trust.
There are many different options available when considering the means of minimising the Inheritance Tax payable on your Estate and ensuring as much as possible is safeguarded for your Beneficiaries.
The options available will depend on your particular situation, your personal circumstances, the value of your Estate, what types of assets make up that value and their relationship to each other and various other factors.
The circumstances of your family and any beneficiaries may also determine how we would advise you to proceed.
