Established in 1992, Motor Industry Legal Services (MILS) provides fully comprehensive legal advice and representation to UK motor retailers for one annual fee. It is the only firm in the UK which specialises in motor law and motor trade law and works exclusively to the retail motor industry. MILS currently advises over 1,000 individual businesses within the sector and also advises the Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI) and its members.
Upon payment of one annual retainer fee, a MILS client is appointed a team of barristers and solicitors which effectively acts as an in house legal department, with unlimited support on all day to day requirements and no legal costs should cases go to trial. In return they are appointed a team of lawyers which includes highly experienced employment and commercial solicitors and barristers, all of whom act only for clients who do precisely the same.
