O'Malley Solicitors
O'Malley Solicitors is a small, independent, specialist family law firm based in Cambridgeshire. With Tina O'Malley as the sole practitioner, we provide a flexible and personal service tailored to each individual client's needs, to help reach a fair and reasonable solution and to ensure continuity throughout a matter. The majority of our clients come to us through personal recommendations and we strive to maintain this high level of client satisfaction.

We understand that family breakdown can be the most emotional of legal problems and we take a sympathetic and sensitive approach with our clients. We pride ourselves on being empathetic and non-confrontational so that wherever possible a peaceful and constructive solution can be achieved. We appreciate that our clients lead busy lives and therefore offer appointments outside of regular office hours.

We are also able to offer home visits if required. Unlike most law firms, we do not require an upfront retainer fee, nor do we charge VAT, therefore we offer very good value for money for our services.
Services
O'Malley Solicitors are ready to help you with any, and all, of the proceedings in getting a divorce.
We recognise how emotional and stressful separation can be and take a sensitive approach in dealing with divorce.
We give constructive advice as to the most appropriate way to proceed so that matters can be concluded as peacefully and efficiently as possible.
We appreciate that it can be upsetting to deal with the division of matrimonial property and we pride ourselves on our non-confrontational and practical approach to help our clients through this difficult time.
When an unmarried couple's relationship breaks down, the law is very different than if it was a marriage breakdown.
Co-habiting partners do not automatically acquire property rights against the other even after living together for many years, so the only legal claims you may be able to make are if you jointly owned a property or if you have children together.
Disputes regarding property ownership can be resolved by a court but each case will be decided on its own facts.
Whilst courts have the power to determine property issues, they have no power over other assets such as pensions or investments, nor can the court order spousal maintenance as the parties are unmarried.
Domestic abuse, also known as domestic violence, can take a physical, emotional or mental form, and is more common than you may think.
When you separate from your partner, the risk of domestic abuse increases and you may find that you need to protect yourself and your children urgently.
O'Malley Solicitors recognise how distressing domestic abuse can be and aim to deal with the issues as quickly and sensitively and possible.
There are two types of injunctions; a non-molestation order and an occupation order.
