We describe a few here, but feel free to contact us if you can't find what you need on our website - we are highly knowledgeable. If you have a British grandparent who was born in the UK, you can apply for an Ancestry Visa. This allows you to come to the UK to work either in employment or self-employment. After five years in the UK on this basis, you can apply to settle permanently in the UK. You will need to prove your relationship to your grandparent and that they were born in the UK.

However, this is not always a simple process, and we can help with UK passport applications from overseas. A person born overseas to a British citizen may be automatically British, however they must provide proof before being issued with a British passport. There is a detailed and quite complex list of documents which must be provided to Her Majesty's Passport Office (HMPO) in order to apply successfully for a British Passport.

read more › A Visit Visa allows you to spend up to 6 months in the UK. There are strict conditions on your stay. You can get a single Visit Visa or a Multiple Entry Visit Visa valid for two, five or ten years. Not every nationality needs a Visit Visa to come to the UK for tourism or to visit family. The United States and Brazil, for example, have arrangements with the UK that allows their citizens to enter the UK without a Visa obtained before they travelled - but only for leisure purposes. The multi-entry Visit Visas are for those who can show they have a good reason to visit the UK regularly.

We make a small extra charge for administration costs and, if we need to use an expert witness, you will need to pay for that. The fixed fee will only change if there are substantial changes in your circumstances which need significant extra work. Otherwise, the fixed fee is what you will pay. Here are some examples of our average fixed fees telling you the immigration lawyer cost for different types of application.
