Simon has been involved in the development and management of Mortons Solicitors from the outset.
Simon has a proven track record of successfully defending even the most overwhelming of prosecutions.
He is renowned for his silver-tongued advocacy skills.
Simon has specialised in criminal & motoring defence work since qualification and has worked exclusively in this field for his entire career.
Simon has headed his team of lawyers to win Crime Team of the year in 2018 and 2020 at the Manchester Legal Awards.
Peter holds Higher Rights of Audience in the Criminal & Civil Courts, he almost exclusively appears at the Crown Courts representing clients for the most serious & heinous allegations.
Peter has dealt with many high profile cases both at Magistrate and the Crown court.
He has extensive range experience of the full range of criminal law cases including; Drug Offences, Indecent Image cases, Burglary, Robbery, Assault, Conspiracies and Breaches.
Peter has also made several appearances at the Criminal The Court of Appeal, which sits in London at the Royal Courts of Justice in connection appeals against manifestly excessive sentences.
Stephen founded Morton's Solicitors along with his son, Simon Morton in 1996.
Stephen was a well-known and respected figure of Manchester legal society for many years.
He was a quick-witted, intelligent man with a big personality.
He was a skilled advocate and fought every case tooth and nail.
Stephen retired in 2004 when Simon and Lisa Morton (then Gibson) took over the practice and Morton's was incorporated.
Stephen sadly passed away in 2018 but will be fondly remembered by us all.
Tom was a key team member of our practice from 2000 - 2020, and has now retired.
