Services
Merry & Co Solicitors provides high quality legal advice in a friendly and relaxed environment.
We work hard to give good value for money, and offer free quotes for all private client work.
The firm's aim is to provide a professional, proficient and personal service to all clients irrespective of their individual circumstances.
We are able to advise on a range of legal matters.
Home visits can be arranged if necessary, particularly to cater for the less mobile client.
Out of hours appointments are possible in an emergency.
Whether you are looking for a buy-to-let in a new development or a country estate for you and your family, or even a remortgage, a transfer of equity or a right to buy, we will provide the comforting reassurance of a single qualified solicitor to supervise all aspects of your matter.
Whilst this results in a more highly qualified person than may strictly be necessary to deal with some of the aspects to your transaction, we believe that only in this way can the solicitor dealing with your transaction ensure that he is fully familiar with every detail of the case.
Our fees cover all of the work required to complete the sale and/or purchase of your new home, including dealing with registration at the Land Registry and dealing with the payment of Stamp Duty Land Tax (Stamp Duty) if the property is in England, or Land Transaction Tax (Land Tax) if the property you wish to buy is in Wales.
There are certain disbursements which will be set out in the individual lease relating to the Property.
The disbursements which we anticipate will apply are set out separately below.
We can help you through this difficult process by obtaining the Grant of Probate on your behalf.
We will also undertake the collecting and distributing of assets.
Please note that we do not collect and distribute assets in the estates that fall within this range.
On average, estates that fall within this range are dealt with within 6-8 weeks.
Typically, obtaining the grant of probate takes 6 weeks.
The exact cost will depend on the individual circumstances of the matter.
For example, if there is one beneficiary and no property, costs will be at the lower end of the range.
