Gray Law
Gray Law Limited was founded by brothers John Gray LLB(Hons) MA Barrister and Gary Gray LLB(Hons) Solicitor with the aim of providing a top quality legal service to the local community with a personal touch. Gray Law was one of the first law firms established in the county when a change in the rule allowed, for the first time, barristers and solicitors to set up and run a law firm together.

Our aim was to set up a firm of Professional, approachable lawyers with a personal service. We specialise in civil and commercial litigation - where one party is suing, or being sued, by another. We do not undertake non-contentious work like writing wills, probate or conveyancing (buying / selling property), criminal work or family work. Unlike many other firms, Gray Law does not take the factory approach of having large number of cases being process by unqualified staff.

Every file handler at Gray Law is a solicitor (or trainee solicitor) or a barrister.

By having both an experienced solicitor and an experienced barrister running the firm we are able to provide early senior intervention from the very beginning of a case, and this means that we are equipped not only to take on 'run of the mill' cases but also complex cases such as those against other professionals including other lawyers who have not acted in their clients best interests, or doctors who have not acted quickly enough to prevent treatable conditions causing permanent and often serious disabilities.

The fact is that your employer holds a duty of care to ensure that their workplace meets a minimum safety standard.
Occupiers must take sufficient and reasonable steps to ensure the safety of their visitors.
If an Occupier does not take reasonable steps to ensure a safe place for visitors and injury occurs through the Occupiers failings then it is likely that the Occupier has breached their statutory duty and they have been negligent.
Asbestos was used extensively as a building material for a number of years, notably from the late 1940s to the 1980s.
Any buildings made before 2000, either commercial or residential can contain asbestos.
Exposure to this deadly material can cause the onset of diseases including mesothelioma.
A diagnosis can bring about a difficult time, both mentally and financially and it's important to know that there is help available.
Many UK companies were aware of the dangers of asbestos exposure, but still put their employees at risk through contact with asbestos fibres in the workplace.
Those who work in the medical profession have a 'duty of care' to ensure their patients receive the correct treatment in a proper manner.
In the majority of cases in this country, fortunately, medical professionals carry out their work to a high standard however sometimes mistakes do happen and patients can suffer as a result.
If the actions of the medical professional (for example doctor, nurse, surgeon or dentist, or an anaesthetist) fell below medically accepted standards (breach of duty) and you incurred an injury or loss due to the actions (or lack of actions) (damage) then you may be liable to make a medical negligence claim (also known as a 'clinical negligence claim').
Have you complained to your landlord but have been ignored or promises to repair the property have not been kept?
Whether you are renting your home from a private landlord or housing association, the law demands your landlord ensures your property is kept in a good state of repair.
We understand the stress living in substandard accommodation causes.
We can help bring an action to ensure that the landlord completes the necessary repairs.
You may also be entitled to additional compensation due to the landlord's failure to repair.
Most solicitors and other professionals carry out their work to a high standard however there are occasions when (for one reason or another) things go wrong and mistakes happen.
If you can prove however that the professional failed to follow what is the accepted practice in his area or no reasonable professional from the same field would have given the same advice and you suffered a loss, it may be possible for you to claim compensation.
This area of law, known as professional negligence, can be complex so you will want to be sure that your case is in the hands of expert Lawyers.
