Services
Some people who are arrested are innocent and others in law are guilty.
All of them have one thing in common.
They are entitled to free and independent legal advice whilst they are at the police station.
This is so whether they are at the police station as a volunteer or there under arrest.
If you are innocent do not think that you do not need a solicitor to help you.
You would not be there if the police did not think you were guilty.
Too many miscarriages of justice have occurred for anyone to believe that the police will get it right.
To many it seems that the motorist has been a soft target for raising revenue over the last few years.
If you have been caught speeding, jumping a red light, talking on your phone whilst driving or some other motoring misdemeanour then not only do you face a fine but you also face the possibility of losing your licence.
The public purse strings are tightening on a daily basis.
The Government and its agencies are looking at more ways that they can make money.
In that climate the motorist will continue to be a good source of income.
At Baileys Law LLP we are well aware that the West Country despite its beauty in certain parts is an economically deprived area.
A large number of its residents are dependent upon state benefits (such as income support, council tax benefit and housing benefit) or tax credits to survive on a day to day basis.
The government has indicated its intention to continue to significantly reduce this type of public expenditure.
No doubt investigations will be more thorough and more in number.
Therefore more people are likely to be subject to prosecution for benefit fraud.
If you are under investigation or have pending or current court proceedings we appreciate that you are already under a significant amount of stress, worry and pressure.
Accordingly, our initial advice is FREE and can be obtained either by phone, by e-mail or on some occasions by face to face interview.
Once we have dealt with your initial enquiry we will be able assist you in deciding whether you need further help from us beyond our initial advice and whether this advice can be covered via legal aid or will warrant you paying for it privately.
