If you have been a victim of a violent crime and sustained an injury as a result, be it physical or psychological you may be entitled to compensation from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA).
This is a government body created to provide compensation to those who have suffered injuries as a result of an attack.
The CICA have a set scale that exists to determine the amount of compensation awarded depending on the extent of an injury and this generally ranges from 1,000 to 500,000.
